WIP - Plague Catapult (conversion)

During 7th edition of Warhammer Fantasy, Skaven army book renewed, and it include new units like Plageu Catapult, however there wasnt any catapult model for that unit (nowadays you can find at GW as lightning cannon or plague catapult) I decided to create one.

During process i used Trebuchet from Bretonian army, and rat ogre which was from
new Screaming Bell/Plague Furnance model (i did PF where you can find that model at previous posts) and pulling bell. I added some small rats over trebuchet also for look like more skavenish.
For strenghting the positioning of rat ogre i used natural stone pieces.

I painted stone pieces, instead of keeping them with original colors, I will continue with more painting and basing. In overall, i used basing more longer than the actual one, but i had to used lie this for positioning. Anyway, still need more working, i will share when it is done.

WIP - Queek Headtaker

As you remember, i mentioned about Queek. I want to share the process of painting with you, at this moment, i applied base colors, and washing.

In the following days I will continue with highlighting and drybrushing, and i will share final step.

Riders on the storm...

Hello again,

Finally I completed my converted Hell Pit Abomination. When Skaven army book released, some units didnt have any model which provide by Games Workshop. So i started to alternative models, and found Forge World Khorne Blood Slaughter (btw i have another conversion for Plague Catapult, you can see that work soon too.). The reason why i choose this model is, i really like Skyre clan at Skavens which are the tech users, and inventors, prbably they are the most brilliant ones in warhammer fantasy worlds, so i decided to create my own abomination from Skyre clan instead of Maulders.

I will continue to work on this model, i want to add some sprues and basing. When finished, I will sahre the latest form. during the process, i realised that i need more patiance and more experience on modelling, i still did some noobish mistakes, luckly it isnt understandable if you didnt see the progress. This model had take my 22-24 hours work, it could be faster, but i changed color scheme for 2 times and cost me 6-8 hours more. Well, lets see some more pictures...

The reason for not posting *caugh slacking caugh* i sold my old Skaven army, and bought new models, and couldnt motivated myself.

Anyway, following work will be my alternative Hellpit Abomination model. (will be presented in following days... realy)

Plague will be spread bneath "The Furnace"

Hello all,

I continued to my work with the new Skaven Plague Furnace/Screaming Bell model. I decided to assamble furnace instead of bell because I have old screaming bell (for now, soon i will get the new model too).

Anyway, during the assambling, I followed GW tutorial again, which is for Screamin Bell though, I was more carefull this time (you can find more detail at other post :D) however i again failed at one point, lucikly that didnt effect painting (if I did it correctly i could paint more easily).

Painting took presumably 14 hours, I didnt want to be in a rush. I was quite relax on painting noneliving parts (wood, stone, metal etc.) and had bad feelings about hero and crew. I still need more practice on that kind of models.

During the painting I had no idea how I can paint ropes, and I asked one of my friend, he told me to use Scorched Brown as first layer, and than bestial brown as 2nd layer. For last touch he mentioned that highliht with bleched bone. It was so simple and the affect was so gorgeous.

Wheels Rumbling On the Surface

I started to play Warhammer Fantasy at 6th edition rules of Skaven army and there wasnt any DoomWheel at that army book, so I didnt get anyone till new army book and new model.

Assembling the DoomWhell was a bit hard for me because I thought it was so easy and I didnt give enough attention it. That was a big mistake, however luckily I could assamble in a good way. (I used many acetone to disassemble the model, lucky part was new plastic models are not deformed form acetone)

Before starting to finalize to assemble and painting I checked the tutorial of GW for DoomWheel (DW) and followed that order. That helped me a lot (I know the basic painting after all that tutorial, I was clueless before that :D) As you can see I undercoat the parts of DW and before combining them I painted all separately.

And here are some picture from the progress...

First Steps on 40K Universe

I assembled all these models very long time ago. They all represent how i was a noob :) Probably if i started to assemble them these days i could do more good looking IGs. However i still like these noobish act, which makes me remind the first excitement.

I have a few vehicle models too, but i will share them after i assemble them.
Till that time i will paint these ones. (edit: i started to paint, will put pictures)
